Tape a Large Straw to a Notebook for a Pencil Holder [Clever Uses]:
The common drinking straw can help make sure you always have a pen or pencil where you need it. All you need is a wide enough straw (the large ones that come with slushies should work) taped to your notebook—voila! Pencil holder.
The tip comes from The Daily Cafe (paid membership required). The picture pretty much says it all, but if writing in a notebook is too old school for you, you can probably adapt the idea by taping a straw to your tablet cover to hold a stylus.
