Most basic cutting boards don't come with any kind of rubbery surface on the bottom to prevent them from sliding around, but with a couple of rubber bands, you can stabilize your cutting board and prevent future accidents from occurring.
We've talked about how to stabilize cutting boards in the past using shelf liner, but rubber bands are far more common in a household and are just as easy to apply: Just slap on two rubber bands at each end of the cutting board and you're good to go. Just make sure that the rubber bands lay flat and aren't twisted when you put them on.
Hit up the link below for more clever uses of rubber bands, like renewing life into an old broom and preventing over-pumping of a soap dispenser.
