This tip comes to us from Instructables user mikeasaurus, also of pizza cones fame (among others!) who sent it in to us. It's a little over the top just to label some jars, but the end result is worth seeing—if you use the right chalkboard paint (noted by another commenter at the link below) you can end up with dishwasher safe labels that can be reused over and over again whenever you want to use the glass jar to store something else.
Even if you use the jar for one thing most of the time, adding a chalkboard paint label is a great way to not have to write on the jar with ugly grease pencil or attach a paper label that'll peel off or get ragged in a few weeks. Plus, having all of your goods clearly labeled makes for a much more organized pantry. The only other tip we'd add is to grab a liquid chalk or chalkboard pen to use even though Mike uses traditional chalk in the video—less dust in your pantry.
The final product looks pretty good, we'd say. What do you think? Too much hassle when a paper label will do, or something you might want to try in your pantry? Sound off in the comments.
